HERE'S A ROUGH BREAKDOWN OF HOW THE INTERVIEWS WORK:

This show is conversational. I start by asking what you do and why, and then we pivot to how you do what you do. It's an everyday conversation between you and me.

I'll introduce you using your bio.

I'll ask you to expand your bio to "flesh out" your story on reaching this point in your career.

I'll ask you to describe where you are in the innovation process and how you help your customers. (This is a great place to discuss how your innovation meets an unmet need, discuss success stories, describe the significant challenges, and share actionable ideas that listeners can use).

No need to go deep into "technicals" or give away trade secrets. Just enough to give listeners an "aha" moment.

I'll ask you to share one or two strategies or tactics that have helped you in the commercialization process. We'll have a great conversation about your expertise based on your ideas!

Frequently asked questions

  • All episodes are recorded on Riverside FM as a video interview. We'll put the audio up on our podcast and the video up on our YouTube channel. We'll also take short video clips or quotes from the interview and use them to promote the episode and show on social media.

  • I try to make these interviews about 30 minutes, but if we're having fun I'm usually good to go longer, so try and give some flex time for our end time. We'll block out 60 minutes on your calendar just in case.

  • Your episode will usually be produced and published 4 - 8 weeks after recording (sometimes there can be a bit of a backlog).

    Once it's released, you're going to get an email with the link to your episode on our site, Apple Podcasts, Spotify etc. If you've found our conversation valuable, please share this and spread the love! You'll be sent pre-written content to make it easy for you to do so.

    You'll be notified by email once your episode is scheduled with the date it will be published, and again the morning it goes live.

    I'll communicate with you via email after the episode. Because there are a lot of moving parts to running the podcast, there will be some automation. You'll be added to the broadcast notifications for all episodes so you can see how we promote the show. If you unsubscribe from those emails, you'll miss out on some of the notifications and promotion work we're doing for your show. But obviously, if you find them annoying, let me know and I'll take you off the list!

  • As the conversation ends, I'll ask you to tell listeners how they can connect with you if they'd like to learn more about you and what you do. This is the place to share your website, social media handles or lead magnet/offer.

    Feel free to put together a special offer for my audience. If you have any questions, or even want some help coming up with ideas for this, just reach out and ask!

  • I understand life happens. If you need to reschedule, please try to do so 24 hours ahead of time. But worst case, reach out an hour beforehand if it's a true last-minute emergency. Please call or text if on the day of the interview there is a need to reschedule. You'll receive my contact information after we confirm your interview spot.

  • I reserve the right to not publish a show if for any reason I feel like our conversation doesn't add value to my audience, you're overly self-promotional, or there's been a bit of "fudging" on the guest intake questionnaire...

    So please show up ready to add a ton of value, and you'll be fine!
